re(s/v)olution

it's been a long, imprecise, inaccurate journey. i've spent some time reviewing it, and i'm at odds with the image of myself this journal exhibits. with a few important exceptions, most of these entries reveal a self so foreign to me that they shock, disgust, depress. [and shall it have been worth it? this is not what i meant to say. this is not what i meant, at all.] literarily and otherwise intellectually they have been naive and pretentious, and it is finally time for some serious work. it is a time for blank slates, a time for the cultivation of a crisper mind, the time for shedding this inchoate attempt and leaping into the blind & antiseptic anger of air. so:
